Pearls are coming back

Biggi - Tuesday, 25. March 2008

I have been hearing rumors about how pearls are coming back. That’s right! :) And the best news is: The most stylish pearl chains are already available. High quality pearls in different colours and sizes give the TeNo LongChains an amazing look.

Problems with gold and silver at the financial markets?

Biggi - Tuesday, 25. March 2008

Is the Party Over for Gold and Silver? There seems to be a fair amount of kudos over the collapse of commodities last week. Both gold and silver got whacked. Is the great bull run over?

That’s what I read here. And what I thought is: Don’t worry, invest in stainless steel. In the next TeNo Store. ;))

Top 50 Blogs for Startups

Biggi - Monday, 24. March 2008

At Evan Carmichaels blog I found an interesting list of “The Top 50 Blogs For Startups To Watch In 2008″.
Well, we aren’t an internet startup, but TeNos english corporate blog is still young and we have to learn a lot about the english speaking blogosphere, so I was very happy to find this list. From now on I’ll visit one new blog a day and sure there will be some new food for my feedreader. :) Perhaps some of this blogs could be interesting for our jewelry partners as well – we are all in the same boat and we all can benefit from interesting information I hope to find in those blogs.

The new TeNo faces

Biggi - Tuesday, 18. March 2008

Over month we searched in Germany for the new TeNo faces, while we would only have to look at Flickr or in this blog. Nice! We send our regards to Teno. :)

Nevertheless – I think our new TeNo faces are better suited to represent our jewelry. :)

TeNo non-allergenic jewelery

Juergen - Monday, 17. March 2008

During my blog tour I found a blog with shopping tips for people with a peanut allergy. You can actually buy a silicone bracelet to wear yourself but usually they are bought for children to stop them being given any nuts to eat that could endanger them. I think this is a great idea and it makes a lot of sense. It even started me thinking that maybe we don’t mention as often as we should that our jewelry is perfectly suited to people with a nickel allergy. TeNo only uses two recognised non-allergenic stainless steel alloys for its jewelry pieces and we have only heard of three allergy cases since 1999, and each of these was “just” a skin reaction.

Surgical stainless steel (316L) is used for screws to fix bones in place, body-piercings, bone plaques, joint pins, wires, mandibular wire mesh prostheses, stitches, staples and even electrodes for heart pacemakers and many other things, too. Stainless steel 316L doesn’t release any nickel onto the wearer’s body and doesn’t trigger any nickel-induced skin rashes.
Results from independent laboratories show that the nickel release from 316L is less than 0.01 ug/cm2/week. – The stainless steel alloy 4305 contains an even lower amount of nickel. These two stainless steel alloys are used by TeNo and fully comply with the strict European Directive on nickel in jewelry.

So there’s no reason why those who suffer from allergies can’t try wearing our jewelry. Also our new steel bracelets from our YuKoN charms collection. If, despite this, you have an allergic reaction within two months of purchase, then please tell your TeNo jeweler and ask him/her to contact us.

Happy Blog finds

Biggi - Thursday, 13. March 2008

Now that the German TeNo blog is off and running and can boast lots of readers as well as a hard core of regular readers, we’ve decided to get the international blogs up and running, too. As everyone knows, first of all you have read other blogs that are somehow to do with yours and set up links and make comments there and and and … It’s not easy doing all this, especially if like us your French and Spanish isn’t very good and you can’t quickly figure out what a blog is about and whether there’s any way of making a habit of the TeNo blog from it. But at least we’ve got this English blog and we’re not so bad at English. So, the first priority now is: I’ve promised myself that – from now on- I’ll send one post a day with a link to some other English language blog (If I manage to make three a week, I’ll be happy, at least to start with.)

So I took a look at the Google Blogsearch and first of all I simply looked for TeNo. Dead easy, I thought, because the very first thing that came up was this one: “Teno Jewelry- Sleek & Sophisticated – Great Jewelry that actually looks good on men

One of my absolute favorite things that I own is my necklace with that I received from my parents when I graduated from college. I haven’t taken it off once since then (no, its not full of bacteria and fungus) and I still to this day get compliments on my pendant.

Great, I thought, I’ve found a real fan straight away. :) The author’s called Gabriel and I carried on browsing through his private Blog. A blog with loads of photos and on some of them you can even see Gabriel wearing his TeNo jewelry. He’s right. Looks actually good on men. :)
