International Blog Parade: Blog around the clock

Biggi - Monday, 21. April 2008

blogparadelogo.jpgSome call it the Blog Parade, others the Blog Carnival, they all mean the same. This is what it is:
Lots of blogs all write about the same thing, one blog collects it all together, summarises it, and then makes it available to the other blogs again. Anyone who wants to know more, can look it up at Wikipedia.

We’re now starting the International Blog Parade here at the TeNo blog: Blog around the clock. International because we want to start this blog at the same time in our German, Spanish and French blogs. And we thought we’d collect articles about time and watches. So we’ve spread the subject matter pretty far and wide – we’d love to get philosophical observations on time itself, just as much as we’d like practical tips for better time management, photos on watches and time, reviews of books about time and watches, articles about special watches of any make, watch collections, advice on watch museums, links to watch blogs and watch portals and and and….. There’s no limit set on your imagination or ideas.

Number of the week: 106.800

Juergen - Sunday, 13. April 2008

Back from the fair Baselworld in Switzerland I read the official final report from the exhibition management. While reading I had the idea for a new category:Number of the week!

I’m anxious to know how many weeks we’ll find interesting numbers that concern watches, jewlery and design. Today we start with the number 106.800.

“BASELWORLD 2008 breaks all records
Another record year: BASELWORLD 2008 closed its doors today after eight extremely successful days. The 2,087 exhibiting companies from 45 countries were thrilled at the record figure of 106,800 visitors (up 5%) to the Show from around the world. The World Watch and Jewellery Show exceeded the highest expectations.”

The official final report can be downloaded here.

Apple counts on stainless steel

Biggi - Sunday, 13. April 2008

An Apple computer always is stylish. Now it’s going be much more stylish. Apple counts on stainless steel and aluminium in its design. I think, stainless steel is a very good material for such a stylish product and therefore I think, it’s a good decision. :-)

Billard: 9-ball Amway World Women’s Championship

Biggi - Monday, 7. April 2008

statecznysmall.JPGDiana Statecnzy took part in the Amway Women’s World Championship and made a good start. Here is a brief review of the first day. As you can see from reading it, Diana lost against Jeanette Lee, but that was the only match she had lost up to that point and she still had a chance of hanging on in there and being one of the finalists. As you can see in the photo in the article linked at the top, TeNo also had a prominent placing. :) Day two also went well for Diana obviously, for this is what was written:
