Diana Statecnzy took part in the Amway Women’s World Championship and made a good start. Here is a brief review of the first day. As you can see from reading it, Diana lost against Jeanette Lee, but that was the only match she had lost up to that point and she still had a chance of hanging on in there and being one of the finalists. As you can see in the photo in the article linked at the top, TeNo also had a prominent placing. :) Day two also went well for Diana obviously, for this is what was written:
Diana Statecnzy also wowed the crowd with a great come from behind win. Statecnzy was down 6-1 to Pei-Chen Tsai from Taipei when she called a time out. After the time out, Tsai broke dry and Statecnzy never let her back to the table, winning six straight games and the match.
But seemingly the Asian women were just too much opposition, a player from Taipeh won in the end.
Despite this, TeNo is still very proud of Diana and her participation in the World Championship was a winner for us at any rate. Lots of people liked Diana’s jewelry and several people commented on her necklace. So if you should see an unusually large number of lady billiard players in the TeNo stores in Las Vegas, Tokyo and New York, then you know why. ;-)
