In my memory, my mum always got my dad socks, a shirt and a tie. And I still know what I was thinking – HOW BORING. But I also noticed: dads usually don’t wish for anything. Socks, a shirt and a tie – a running gag when its about getting presents for your husband. Silly, isn’t it? For those who want to do one better get him a drill – you can always use one of those – or, to be more modern, a new hard drive for his computer. Long live the cliche. Although – if you look around yourself – times have changed. If it is the retro fashion or simply because everything from the past becomes modern again – cuff links are trendy again. (more …)
