10 on Tuesday: clothing articles

Florian - Friday, 30. January 2009

belt

It’s time for another Ten on Tuesday. I don’t always keep track of that, but this week it’s “Ten favourite articles of clothing you own”, and I think that this fits to TeNo. :-)

1. My Nike pants (very comfy, I always wear them at home)
2. Old Navy Sweater (black)
3. Almost every T-Shirt I own (and I have quite a few)
4. My white summer jacket
5. My Adidas shoes
6. My new jeans
7. My necklace
8. My YuKon bracelet
9. The new hooded sweater
10. A belt ( “a” belt because I only own these cheap ones, but unfortunately not real leather belts as shown in the picture above)

Bubble Wrap Day 2009

Florian - Friday, 30. January 2009

I’m sure everybody knows what a bubble wrap is. TeNo uses a lot of it each day for packing . We’ve already blogged about this and showed you our huge bubble wrap roll. But I bet none of you knew that there is a Bubble Wrap Day on january 26, but it’s never to late to celebrate an important date. ;-)

Now there are two ways you could celebrate the Bubble Wrap Day. Either you pop the bubbles online, or, and I personally prefer this way, you eat it. Well maybe not the original plastic wrap but the chocolate type. And as an addition to that you can also buy the Bubble Calendar. That allows you to pop one bubble a day. But only in case you don’t pop any ahead.  ;-)

By the way – chocolate isn’t “just” tasty but can also look very stylish. If you you have the right jewelry to decorate it with. ;-)

What is YaMo?

Florian - Thursday, 29. January 2009

Since I’m still new to TeNo, I don’t know every product (but I’m getting there :-P ). So when Jürgen posted a comment on my Yanko Design post, I was wondering what YaMo is.

So I looked for them and now I know that they’re cufflinks and tie pins as you can see on the picture below. ;-)

And they’re looking pretty good as I think. :-)

Every partnership needs symbols

Juergen - Thursday, 29. January 2009

Just the other day I came across an article, which was about that jewelers don’t have to fear the increasing number of unmarried couples. And why should they? They are no loss but a gain, a new target audience. We only have to see them as an addition to the classic married couples. Some of them are bounding themselves for the second or even third time and therefore have different expectations. The audience is getting more complex and we have to adjust ourselves to this new situation.

Despite the  fact that we never felt the new audience as a danger, we’re happy about the fact that there is an increasing demand of our TaMoR rings, which have developed themselves to bestsellers. And that’s why we will present new TaMoR models at the Inhorgenta 2009. Hightech-ceramic, 18 carat yelow, or roségold, with or without diamonds. There is already a picture of a few new partnership rings:

Finally in our blogroll: Yanko Design

Florian - Tuesday, 27. January 2009

As some of you may have noticed, I sometimes referred to a certain page when I blogged about new and cool designs.  So I think it’s time to take this site, Yanko Design – From Beyond Function, into our blogroll.

ydesign

It offers the latest and very innovative designs every day. Okay maybe  you won’t be able to purchase most of them but there’s nothing wrong with fantasising. However, I admit that I sometimes regret that our technology isn’t that far yet . :-)

Positive thinking

Florian - Tuesday, 27. January 2009

thinkpositiveIn times like these, when words like “financial crisis” or “global economic crisis” dominate, good news becomes rare news more than ever. So I think we would all welcome to hear  as many good and positive news as possible. This is why TeNo Germany brought the project “Think positive charity” into life. The aim of this charity is to get as many comments as possible. For every positive comment, trackback or pingback that this german post will get TeNo will donate 2 € to the Stand Up Initiative, an organisation collecting money to help paraplegic.

The remarkable about the “Stand up initiative” is that the founder, Hamoun Kamai, is disabled from the neck down himself, but that was no reason for him to stop living his life. Now he’s not only trying to help himself but also all the other paraplegic to participate at normal life again.

And there are more people trying to spread progressive thinking. For example this blog carnival called: Carnival of positive thinking. There you can find many articles and posts about positive thinking, or inspiring storys from real life, just like the one of Hamoun Kamai. So stop feeling powerless and get things moving. And I think, this posting and the german Think positive charity could be our contribution to that Carnival of positive thinking as well.

Either our charity is a german activity and takes place in Germany we’ll also welcome all english written comments full of positive thoughts. As I said before – each comment = 2 € for Stand Up. Join us and post your positive thought here. Thank you. :-)

Safety first

Florian - Sunday, 25. January 2009

I bet all of you had this problem at least once. You’re on vacation, packet your suitcase, and when you finally arrived you can’t find your favourite jewelry. Either it slipped somewhere between your T-shirts and jeans or its tangeled up.

So a proper solution, besides putting your jewelry into your second pair of shoes, is a jewelry bag where you can fit in all your TeNo watches and TeNo necklaces and TeNo bracelets. ;-)  So before you go on your next trip and tend to pack lots of jewelry, make sure you have a special bag for them. ;-)

Obama hype

Florian - Saturday, 24. January 2009

Not only that he is, or will be, one of the most popular politicians of america taking great influence on its political direction, he seems also to be a very popular inspiration and motive for fashion, as you can see here.

I really like this one. Maybe I’ll buy one for myself, if they have them for boys too. ;-)

And before I forget: Congratulations Mr. President. I hope you had very productive first days. ;-)

Message without bounds

Florian - Friday, 23. January 2009

“Playing for a change” is a multimedia movement created by various artists, including Mark Johnson.

Its aim is to connect the people all over the world by music, in this case it’s the song “Stand by me”, performed by artists all around the world. The initiators seem to really struck the nerve of time. And the message, that the world should get closer together and work with instead of against each other, was long overdue. The large amount of posts with this video you can find are the prove.

Also, the TeNo family continues to grow. Not only in USA, in Europe, in Australia …  We have friends all over the world by now, on many different continents. Tolerance is one of the foundation pillars of our company. And if the hole world thought so too, it would get a little better. :-)

Back from Dubai

Juergen - Friday, 23. January 2009

dubai1-300x224

As someone who reads the TeNo-Blog on a regular base, you may know that my sister Stefanie and me went to Dubai last week. This was long overdue since we haven’t been to Dubai for almost three years. By now, there are three small TeNo stores which are located in the popular malls. The trip was overdue since we had to find out that there were quite a few things that didn’t went to well the last few years. Small missunderstandings at the beginning generated problems which probably wouldn’t have aroused by constant supervision. (more…)
