It’s finally done. Our annual stocktaking is complete. We picked the monday right before epiphany. Because of the YuKoN elements, our stockkeeping unit has been higher since the last 2 years. We had a total count of 147680 pieces at 21966 units. However, who thinks that TeNo has a total collection of watches and jewelry of 21966 is wrong. You have to keep in mind that every of the about 40 possible ring seizes is a unit for itself. It took 12 persons exactly one working day, so every employee counted and checked 1830,5 pieces in average. After we finished, we had to chart the results manually and than enter them into our inventory control. After that we could do the inventory evaluation. And now we can continue with our every day routine, start taking assignments, producing and deliver.
Napkins and dates

One thing we all do (more or less) is eating. Another thing that is very important in todays world is knowing what day it is, so you won’t miss any important appointements or dates. ;-) Finally, something that becomes more and more a concerne is our environment.
So how could you combine all these three things together? You create a napkin set for exactly 1 year (365 napkins), write on every napkin the date as in a calander. The napkin helps you clean your fingers after a meal, the written dates tell you what day it is (..guess what..) and since there are only as many napkins as there are days in a year, well hopefully that’ll encourage you to only use one at a day.
I think that’s a really neat idea. :-) And maybe TeNo could use these at the next jeweler meeting. :-)
