Christmas break

Florian - Tuesday, December 23 2008

Because designer jewelry is beautiful but silent, stainless steel microwaves will sing a christmas song in their stead.

.

TeNo wishes you all a Merry Christmas !

Introducing TeNo´s Tradition

Florian - Monday, December 1 2008

As a new member of the TeNo Family I learn a lot about the company at the moment. So I thought, it would be interesting for  you all to learn a bit about TeNo’s tradition too.

TeNo´s family roots can be traced back to 1922. At those days Joseph Heinz, a young silversmith in the black forest founded his own little workshop first specialized in silver cutlery and some years later he added to his portfolio fine silver jewellery. His son Peter Heinz became in the 60´s a master goldsmith and worked at those days in the development department for a leading jewellery company in Pforzheim which is the most famous town for jewellery in Germany. Together with his wife Annelie Heinz, who also worked as an goldsmith specialised on handcrafted and solid jewellery chains made out of gold, he took over in 1982 a company focusing its production on jewellery watch cases for precious metals and also small technical parts used to supply the German watch manufacturers. Still a trend: Black and White

Juergen - Monday, November 3 2008

I think, they are just wonderful. Our topseller of the YuKoN Charmscollection. There is almost no reorder from our custumers that doesn’t contain these little pieces of art.

It matches excellent the current fashion and can complete the perfect look.

Good Luck Barack Obama

Juergen - Saturday, October 25 2008

The TeNo family keeps all fingers crossed for Obama.

Raphael even had him over for a glas of champagne and gave him some tips from the regular people for the final spurt ;-).

By the way – some nice pictures from Obama are shown here.

Tour of our company (6)

Juergen - Monday, August 18 2008

Today I’m going to take you round our workshop again. In this picture you can see Inge Besang, who’s been with TeNo from the very beginning. She’s responsible for the “hard stuff“ for us ;-), because she’s our ceramics specialist.

Ceramics is as much part of TeNo as stainless steel is. In many of our jewelry pieces we combine high-tech ceramic with stainless steel and for our jewelry we use the latest technology materials, like the solid and scratch-resistant dental ceramic shown here. (more …)

Tour of our company (5)

Juergen - Saturday, August 16 2008

There’s always one person at TeNo who knows exactly when the hour strikes, that is to say, he makes sure that the hour hands are actually going around – our watchmaker Peter Liedtke.

In the pictures you can see him at work. It demands the highest levels of concentration and an excellent eye. Inside the TeNo quartz watches there’s a Swiss precision movement. At the moment he’s just attaching the watch face to the movement. Afterwards the hands will be fixed to the needle shaft waiting for them in the movement. Only then is the small masterpiece set into its matching stainless steel watch case.

Tour of our company (4) – Precious stone-setter

Juergen - Thursday, August 14 2008

An important occupation at TeNo is the precious stone-setter, because without this we wouldn’t be able to offer any piece from the de Luxx-Series and no piece of jewelry at all with any sparkling diamonds. This position is filled internally at TeNo by Erich Kugele. I’m saying “internally” because we also work with some stone-setters who have their workbench at home and work from there.

The gemstone or precious stone-setter specialises in the setting, that is to say, on how the precious stone is set. If you’d like to know more about the work of a stone-setter, you can find an overview at Wikipedia and more information on apprenticeships, job opportunities and other possibilities here at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Technology. Tour of our company (2)– goldsmiths‘ workshop

Juergen - Sunday, July 27 2008

It’s about time now that I let you into our company to have a look around. So, when you come in and immediately turn to the left twice and once to the right, you’ll find yourself standing in the middle of the workshop and practically right in front of Ruth. Ruth Gladen is our goldsmith. Now you might be thinking – what is a goldsmith doing in a company that makes stainless steel jewelry?

Billard: 9-ball Amway World Women’s Championship

Biggi - Monday, April 7 2008

statecznysmall.JPGDiana Statecnzy took part in the Amway Women’s World Championship and made a good start. Here is a brief review of the first day. As you can see from reading it, Diana lost against Jeanette Lee, but that was the only match she had lost up to that point and she still had a chance of hanging on in there and being one of the finalists. As you can see in the photo in the article linked at the top, TeNo also had a prominent placing. :) Day two also went well for Diana obviously, for this is what was written:
