Do you remember our new give-away article? It already had its first premiere last year. In the meantime we worked a little bit on it, optimized it and our little give-away article turned into a really stylish YuKoN accessory. Finally we have pictures of it. Our jeweler partners really liked this idea a lot and we’re planning on letting this line grow. And of course YuKoN is staying YuKoN. Meaning – you can’t only put the elements on your key chain, but also on every YuKoN bracelet or necklace. And backwards you can put all the other elements from your collection on a key ring as well.

Since yesterday our new lottery turn is online – new chances for all jewelry fans in our big lottery serie. This time we’re giving out 8 crosses made of satinised stainless steel with a rubber necklace. Four of those crosses have a valuable gold enclosure, the other four have an enclosure which is made of high quality high tech ceramic.

Eveyone who wants to try their luck just has to answer a simple question. For blog readers that should be easy. What exactly you have to do and other details you have to know you’ll find here.

Good luck!

Yes, that’s right – now it’s getting colorful. On the occasion of our anniversary we’re not having just our great anniversary catalog and our lottery, but also some special offers for TeNo fans throughout the entire year 2010.

One of them – the big limited YuKoN summer edition, which we call internal the good mood-offer. Because the new YuKoN Waves made of stainless steel and colored mother-of-pearl, which we presented on the Inhorgenta, are so cheerful and colorful, that they bring us in a good mood when we just look at them.

Everyone who wants to start cheerful into the summer can already pick their favorite colors. I’m sure, your jeweler will be happy about your reservations, because then they can plan much better.

Last saturday TeNo invited friends, staffs and juwelerpartners to the TeNo booth on the Inhorgenta trade fair. From 4 o’clock pm we celebrated a little cocktailparty. A lot of people came and from time to time it was hard to find a way through the crowd. The highlight of our small party was when Christl Rieber and Frank Hofmann (both staffs since the first hour) surprised with a small speech and when they gave a little present to the Family Heinz, emotional moments were following.

It.was.just.great.

Emotions, pride, happiness, laughter, crying, all emotions were there. And probably every attender was comparably impressed and deeply moved from this amazing moment.

Here are some photographic impressions collected in one gallery. They speak for themselves. Just watch them and look in the faces – they speak an obvious language.

We want to use this serie to introduce other blogs we like to read to you. And it suggests itself to do an interview about what TeNo is all about: Jewelry. We want to have a variety of many different blogs and bloggers, so we asked various people from our team about their favorite blog. Bit by bit we’re going to interview those bloggers and present their interviews. Today we’re presenting the blog letitflow.com from Christian Rudolf. It’s about a luxurious lifestyle and entertainment which we already told you about. But here is the interview with which we want to present Christian Rudolf vom Sweden and his blog a little bit more.

1. Do you wear jewelry, if yes what kind?

Yes. I wear my Puzzlering (Yxring in swedish). I hope I get to wear an engagement ring on my other finger one day!

2. When do you wear jewelry? All the time or just for special occasions?

Just the ring!

3. Is there jewelry that you would never wear?

I would probably never pierce any part of my body ;-)

4. What do you look for when you buy jewelry? (Material?
Price? Peculiarity? etc.)

I want things to be timeless and of high quality. I rather buy something that would last and is seldom, than something of low quality and cheap.
When things are truly beautiful, they are usually timeless and will be beautiful even when I am gone.
5. Did you ever get any jewelry as a present? If yes, from who?

Actually no, but I hope it will happen some day.

6. Did you ever give someone jewelry as a present? If yes, to who?

Actually no, I guess that’s why I am not engaged ;-)

7. Do you have a favourite piece of jewelry? Or a piece that has a special meaning/story for you?

Wearing Jewelry is not common in Sweden amongst males. Especially if you are from the countryside like me. You wear a marriage ring and if you were one of the cool teenagers, you might have had an earring. I never wore jewelry when growing up. It was just not OK. This is the story about how I changed my mind regarding jewelry. In my generation every Swede had to do military Service. You probably have the same system. So I was 19 years old and it was time to become a man. I spend one year on a little Island in the Baltic Sea called Gotland. When my term was up, I got recommended to Swedish armed forces abroad. This is usually through United Nations and the offer I got was for the Balkans. It was in the early nineties and civil war was raging. I spent my time in Jugoslavia, 7 months. What I did not know when joining is that the unofficial symbol of foreign service for Swedish and Scandinavian UN-troopers is a Ring. It is very special kind of ring. A ring which was different from all other rings I have ever seen. You could actually break it down into pieces. When the first Swedes arrived to the Sinai desert for Swedens first UN-mission in 1956 they found these rings. Swedes called them “Yx-ringar”. Because when you do UN service the nickname Swedes had taken for themselves was “Yxor”. A name for these rings you might recognize is “Puzzlering”. Arabs have been using them for centuries as a sign of friendship or marriage. The legend told amongst Scandinavian UN-soldiers is that when the crusaders conquered Jerusalem, the native people of the Arabic peninsula were really angry and it took almost 100 years to re-conquer Jerusalem. During these years people from all over the Arabic peninsula came to fight the Christians for their wrong doing. These warriors left their wives at home and were gone for years. So their wives got those “Puzzlerings” as a sign of marriage and friendship. Those “Puzzlerings” are still used in the Middle East as signs of relationships. Today about 100 000 Swedes, men and women, have done 6-12 months of UN-service abroad in Lebanon, Cyprus, ex Yugoslavia, Egypt, Kongo, Somalia, Afghanistan and many other places. At all places bad things have happened the last 50 years when the UN decided to intervene. Swedes have been there and they all have been buying “yx-rings”. I wear my ring every day. The ring was never given to me as sign of friendship. It is a sign of a community which I was a part of and still am a part of. I meet people every month who wear this ring in Sweden, people I have never met before and whose names are not familiar to me. But we always talk about what we have done and where we have been. The rings symbolize our common past which binds us togheter even though we do not know eachother. So, this is the story of my Jewelery and why I wear it!

8. How do you like TeNo design jewelry? What do you like about it, what don’t you like? Please tell us your honest opinion.

I like it! You have a minimalist feeling that appeals to me. I call it timeless, I guess some would disagree with that statement. I especially liked your watches. They are very similar to my watch!

Thank you so much for your time, your answers and your personal story about your favorite piece of jewelry! :-)
