TeNo display window of Solitaire in Freiburg (Germany)

A couple of weeks ago our jewelry partners in Freiburg (Germany) from “Solitaire” in Schwarzwald City, renovated their store and integrated a TeNo corner.

The clients of their jewelry store love the TeNo corner. It’s right next to the entrance of the store so many of clients are fascinated by the jewelry and probably none client can pass it without taking a look at it.

Of course we have some pictures of the new TeNo corner for you because we ourselves think that the TeNo corner ist really chic.

10 percent off for TeNo fans – pendant YuNis

Teresa - Saturday, March 27 2010

Many TeNo fans ask us on which products they’re getting 10 percent off during our anniversary year. That’s why we decided to present some of our anniversary offers here on the TeNo blog. The start makes our pendant YuNis – satinised stainless-steel with an inlay off high-quality, black HighTech ceramic in our classic three square design. These three squares have become our trademark and you couldn’t imagine our collection without it. We are excited that the 3 x 4 corners melted together with TeNo over the years and especially that even our first creations are still demanded. That was and is our standard: TeNo design wants to be timeless and doesn’t want to follow fast moving trends. And so this pendant YuNis is what we would call a a classic. During our anniversary year it will be labeled with the little yellow 10, the symbol that TeNo fans get 10 percent off.

Bloggers and their jewelry: Interview with Anna Maria

Teresa - Friday, November 20 2009

TeNo2Here it comes, another interview of our serie “Bloggers and their jewelry”. This time we interviewed Anna Maria, she is one of the bloggers on the spanish TeNo- Blog and in the interview she will give us an insight into her favorite jewelry. So here it comes!

1. Do you wear jewelry, if yes what kind?

Last year I wore a lot of colorful or leather bracelets, since I’m practicing volleyball regulary I don’t wear that kind of “permanent jewelry” anymore. ;-) I really like short necklaces – sometimes even two at the same time - and ethno style jewelry. Rings, I think, are annoying.

2. When do you wear jewelry? All the time or just for special occasions?

I wear special pieces of jewelry, such as heirloom or other valual things, for special occasions.

3.Is there jewelry that you would never wear? (more …)

TeNo in Australia

In 2005 the Australian Rob Scanlan started with the distribution of our designer jewelry in New Zealand and Australia. The start wasn’t easy, but Rob and his team believed in the success of our modern jewlelry especially due to the high quality and the reputation of “Made in Germany” on their continent. This year the exhibition was really successful for TeNo. A lot of new customers living in the higher classes ordered TeNo products. General Manager Stephan Brown sent me some pictures of TeNos presentation on the exhibition. TeNo was integrated in the brand new exhibition booth of Rob Scanlan&Co Pty Ltd. .

By the way, Rob Scanlan visited us with his General Manager Stephen Brown in Germany and Stephan then expressed his impressions in a great article which we published on teno-blog.com. We are really excited that TeNo is now also becoming more and more successful in New Zealand and Australia. I hope we’ll get some pictures of the next exhibition showing the whole team of Rob Scanlan. :-)

Real and fake diamonds

Florian - Sunday, September 6 2009

Lately, we´ve been talking a lot about jewelry for men, especially about the growing popularity of diamond jewelry for men. But of course, there are also a lot (more) different kinds of jewelry for women. Necklaces, for example, are the most popular jewelry among women.

When it comes to diamonds, I thought it could be interesting to know, how you can test if it´s a real one or not. Not everything that is shiny is also a diamond. So here are a few tips that might help you:

1: The diamonds setting. That means, you should check if the diamond(s) are mounted or if you can see any cheap materials that make diamond look bigger and flashier.

2: Weight the diamond (if you have the chance to). A real diamond will weigh about half of what a fake one does.

3: Breathing on the stone can also help. The fog should disappear in about 1-2 seconds. If it takes longer, chances are high that it’s just glas.

4: Put a newspaper behind the stone and try to read it. If the letters are visible, it probably is not a real diamond.

By the way, do not try to scratch glas with it. Even if it´s a real diamond it will not only damage the glas.  More about this topic can be found here. Another, and very simple way to make sure you bought real diamond jewelry, look for the TeNo sign. :-)

The development of men´s jewelry

Florian - Saturday, September 5 2009

020.22P08+020.22P10._Var2

Men´s diamond jewelry has changed and it´s design has evolved a lot since the past years. From over sized rings and necklaces, which were to heavy to wear to stylish and confident design, with attracting to much attention. Men´s jewelry has evolved into a respected category with it´s own design and features. TeNo for instance, uses the three square design. And just like women´s jewelry, it should match your overall look and wardrobe, so their functions are almost the same. Even if men usually buy jewelry for other reasons than women.
This also describes the philosophy of TeNo. Because we think that jewelry should be for everyone, no matter if it´s for men, women or unisex, as we already said in this post. ;-)
But the linked blog has more to offer about diamond jewelry. This report shows the diamond trade week of different countries. It´s a little specific, but also interesting if you are involved in the diamond business, one or the other way. :-)

High-pressure

Florian - Thursday, September 3 2009

Not much time has past since we´ve spend some time on vacation, we are working under high pressure on new pieces of jewelry, which will be released during autumn this year. This September the novelities have to be in stock. The “pressure” to release new products  is growing from our jewelry partners and their costumers. However, we already have a gib variety of jewelry, which aren´t just seasonal articles. And we are taking good care of our portfolio of designer jewelry, but apparently this isn´t just enough. And that´s good. Our jewelry partners only react on the demands of their costumers.
