Or better: just like a comet Lena Meyer-Landrut raised during the past 4 months from an unknown grammar school pupil to the Eurovision-Songcontest-winner and moved from the orbit into the center. During her performance the girl from Hannover was wearing a necklace with a black cross which you could notice quite often on her.

In the Ernst-August- Galerie in your hometown Hannover is a TeNo store by the way. Just come and have a look, you’re always very welcome. :-) (more …)

Diamonds: size isn’t everything

Teresa - Wednesday, April 21 2010

In American romantic movies and series diamonds in engagement rings often play an importan role. The bigger the jewel the greater the love, that’s what we’re told subliminal. But just like with so many other things in life, the size alone isn’t what matters, it’s the quality. For diamonds four criteria are used, known as the 4Cs: Carat, Color, Clarity and Cut. Carat thereby stands for the size, because you certainly can’t neglect it totally. But it isn’t the same as the carat amount in gold which states the clarity. The term carat comes from the greek term for the carob (keratio) whose seeds were used in the past to define the weight of a jewel, due to the carob seeds even weight. One seed usually weights 0.2 gram, that’s why today 0,2 gram is exactly 1 ct.

Pendant OrBiT in stainless steel: 36 brilliants at 0.008 ct. (total of 0,288 ct.) surround a peacockcolored freshwater pearl. (more …)
